Storms will be storms
It was a dark and stormy day. The sky hung low with soft grey clouds bringing one last gasp of Winter's chilly breath. Scattered whitecaps punctuated the green canvas of the sea. Small waves were breaking out on the point. The air was expectant. Something was about to happen. Something big. Kitesurfing! Good ol Nor'easter wind, my favorite. I missed you all Winter old friend. Now that the warm weather is approaching we get honered with your presence. As if you can just blow in any old time and we'll gladly take you back. We will. You winds are fickle friends. Got Wind
Got wind, got kiting, got happy. Sweet Summerlike session at Revere. I had a lot of good quality wipe out time. I felt like I was a crash waiting to happen. It could have something to do with using my Airush kite with my Slingshot bar. Or it could have just been one of those sessions. Good, clean fun. Loving the Wildlife
Momomoy Island- Kiting out on the flats, sun shining off my eyeballs, I see three logs washed up into the shallows at the edge of a channel. "Oh cool", I think, "I'll see if I can jump em". As I approach they dive into the water. They're not logs stupid, they're seals, acting like logs. Oops sorry to scare you guys off of your lounge chairs.
As I close in on some sandbars, the seagulls screech and give me dirty looks as they ascend. I'm probably pissing off lots of fish too. Any sharks out here want to complain?
I guess I get what I deserve. After 2 great sessions plying the shallows and chasing wildlife, I return to my truck to see that a bomb has been detonated on my windshield. White chalky yuch is splattered like milk paint across the glass. I don't wash it off though. If it makes a few seagulls feel superior by having the last laugh, I'll oblige. I'm the adult here. Driving home squinting through seagull poop is the least I can do after scaring the wildlife all day. Like those seals sunning themselves. I still wish I could have jumped em.

Rubber Band Man
I told Brad that I would pay for today's long session tomorrow but I made a down payment tonight. Sprawled out on the couch like a stuffed animal post kiting, my rubber band leg muscles started to contract. Hey, that's not fair! They get me through my whole active day then start to complain and moan when I'm being nice to them. I think the rubber in there is getting a little old and brittle. I guess 6 Advil wasn't enough today. Mayflower to Chapin- I started at Mayflower early AM, went downwind to Chapin to catch the pre high tide kiddie pools, then back. I did it agian, after a long lunch, for the post high tide, but the wind dropped half way back. No complaints. It was a beautiful 1 mile walk back across the long outstretched arm of the sand bar, sun getting low, board slung over my shoulder with my leash. Not a bad end to a great day of slapping the kite monkey. Sure, I could have avoided my impending leg cramps by starting at Chapin to begin with but that doesn't really make any sense. There's no challange in that. OBX- It looks like I'll be going to Hatterass in a few weeks. I hope I have enough room in my little truck for all the Advil I'll need to bring.
